The six plays featured show the breadth of the African American experience.
The plays are rooted in stories of the past and of the present. They resonate today and give hope to what the future could be.
There are moments that may make you laugh or shake your head, and there are some in which you may recognize yourself or someone you know. These plays speak directly and indirectly of transformation within society and within ourselves. As these are staged readings, the plays are still in progress.
The majority of the work has never been presented before.
The playwrights look forward to
hearing your questions and observations of their work as they continue to prepare for a future live production.
